2017:  Katie & Patrick – The Queen’s House, Greenwich – Neil Walker Photography

Some gorgeous images from Katie and Patrick’s stylish black and white quintessentially London Wedding, on a gorgeous Autumn afternoon.  This couple and their young daughter live in Melbourne, Australia, and because Katie’s family are from Greenwich they were keen to host their nuptials “back home”.  We got to know each other via Skype and email and together created a perfectly unique and tailored wedding ceremony for them that suited their personalities to a tee.

Here’s a taster selection of images from Katie and Patrick's wedding at Royal Museums Greenwich. Feel free to tag…

2017: Jess & Johnny – Longton Wood, Maidstone – Samantha Jones Photography

Jess and Johnny are self-confessed geeks and outdoor fanatics who booked their open-air woodland wedding for the middle of August, hoping and praying that it would stay dry!  I had so much fun working with this couple to create a totally unique wedding ceremony that enthralled their guests, moved their family to tears and included their own love story along with some very creative and symbolic touches – a large helping of Harry Potter, handfasting using climbing rope, and a unity ceremony where copper coins were hammered into a piece of wood.  Check out all the incredible details in this blog from Plans & Presents who featured their wedding just a week later.

2016: Sophie & Dan – Hambledon House, Surrey – Joanna Nicole Photography

Some beautiful images from Sophie and Dan’s Outdoor June Wedding in the grounds of this stunning country house and estate.  This British couple now make their home in California, and – like many of my clients – organised their English Wedding back home amongst their friends and family, after they had officially married briefly a few months prior.  120 guests were invited to be with them as they exchanged loving promises in a personal lakeside ceremony before enjoying champagne cocktails and a marquee reception on the lawns.  Some guests camped in tipis overnight, partying till the wee small hours.

2016: Beth & James, Norwood Place Barn, Surrey – Imogen Xiana Photography

Beth and James chose to hold their legal marriage separately from their main Wedding Ceremony allowing them to take over a beautiful local barn and its grounds, which was not licenced.  They exchanged vows under an arbour by the lakeside and the whole day was beautifully styled and decorated with a lot of hard work from friends and family.  For shelter (in case of rain or in our case, heat!) we had a stretch capri tent over the ceremony seating.  A stunning day in Surrey!

2016: Holly & Dani – East Quay, Whitstable – Story Catchers Films

This is an exquisite film of Holly and Dani’s New Year Winter Wedding on the coast at Whitstable. Holly and Dani live in Canada and came back to Holly’s home county of Kent to exchange their vows in a personal and very intimate Wedding Blessing Ceremony.  The venue East Quay is stunning in any season, and very cosy in wintertime.  Their wedding decor theme was sparkles, softness, subtle with splashes of Christmas greenery and seasonal winter foliage.

2016: Esther & Carlos – Wadhurst Castle, East Sussex  – Rebecca Douglas Photography

Carlos and Esther are based in Los Angeles, California and always wanted to elope to England for their Wedding Ceremony.  After a quick courthouse marriage ceremony in LA, they and a few friends flew over to be King and Queen of their English Castle for a day before heading off for a mini-tour of Europe!  I loved creating something quirky and offbeat for this alternative couple who were just a joy to be with – so much love and happiness for this vintage-loving pair.

2016: Lauren & Chris – Dale Hill Golf Club, Ticehurst – Velvet Storm Photography

Lauren and Chris booked me after I created their friends Stevie & Ant’s wedding back in 2015. Lauren chose a gorgeous purple theme for the day (her favourite colour) and they both made the ceremony very personalised to them with a mini-handfasting and the lighting of unity candles. Their one-off script incorporated references from many of their favourite hobbies, TV shows, games, books and movies –  and it was so much fun to be involved with!

2016: Jan & Matt – Frasers, Egerton, Kent  – Jacqui McSweeney Photography

Jan from Denmark and Matt from England now both work and reside in Singapore, and after 16 years together they planned their English Wedding in the heart of the Kent countryside.   I was so lucky to work with this super couple to create a bespoke one-off Wedding Blessing ceremony with special music, readings and wording   The attention to detail on their blue and white wedding theme was exquisite, and I’ve exceptionally happy memories of this day.

2016: Michelle & John – The Night Yard, Canterbury – Yvonne Lishman Photography

Michelle and John who are both architects had a strong vision about the look and feel they wanted to achieve with their Wedding Day, and even built a wooden ‘Love Shack’ chapel especially for their big day!  The Night Yard is a quirky, interesting venue previously home to cattle, and surrounded by apple orchards it’s perfect for an outdoor wedding celebration.  The bespoke and unique Wedding Blessing ceremony that we created together was a lot of fun!

2016: Amy & Chris – Duncton Mill Fishery, West Sussex – Sarah Williams Photography

Amy and Chris were keen to exchange their vows in the open air in a wedding ceremony next to the lake ‘come what may’, and although there was a little rain on their day, it wasn’t enough to stop the ceremony – we continued with the aid of a couple of umbrellas!  Their bespoke ceremony was complemented by live music from a string trio of Chris’ Aunt and cousins.  The happy couple were rowed across the lake afterwards to their awaiting guests for a confetti throw!

2016: Karen & Kirsty – East Quay, Whitstable – Minty Slippers Films

Karen and Kirsty’s Wedding in Whitstable on a Spring day with showers was full of smiles, love and fun!  The couple hired me as their Celebrant as they wanted a very personalised Wedding Ceremony in which they could incorporate lots of meaningful things.  We started by involving both their Mums in a Unity Candle lighting, using the girls’ original Catholic confirmation candles.  The couple and their friends worked hard decorating the venue themselves – it looked stunning!

2016: Chloe & Dave – Marle Place Gallery & Gardens, Kent  – Kesteven Photography

Chloe and Dave hosted their summer wedding reception in tipis at her parents’ home and chose a different location for their outdoor rustic wedding ceremony. Marle Place with its acres of both formal and informal gardens was perfect, and after singing a hymn together with their guests they exchanged emotional vows and wedding rings in a very personal ceremony. Drinks and canapes were served on the terrace and lawns before the whole wedding party decamped to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening celebrating in style!
